When I offer library instruction sessions, I usually have an hour or less to explain why students should use library resources, how to search for library resources, and how to use the results of their searches. These sessions are a great introduction to what our library has to offer, but barely touches on all the great resources available to our students, faculty and staff. Do you know about our Autograph Collection? What about the History of the Written Word collection? Do you know about our artwork or about the building itself? I'm hoping to use these blogs to get past the basic intro, take a closer look at our collections, our building, and everything that makes the Arthur A. Houghton Jr. Library so special.
