Interlibrary Loan

What is Illiad?

ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan Internet Accessible Database) is an electronic system used to process interlibrary loan requests. ILLiad speeds up processing of requests, allows users to track the status of requests, and provides for desktop delivery of articles. ILLiad Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Who can use Illiad?

All registered students, faculty and staff of Corning Community College can use Illiad.

Why do I need a username and password to use ILLiad?

Your username and password allows us to give you secure access to information about your interlibrary loan requests. Use your MyCCC account username and password to logon to Illiad.

Does Interlibrary Loan cost me anything?

No. We try to borrow from lenders that do not charge. However, on rare occasion, the material requested is only available for a fee but we will obtain your permission before ordering the material.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

The  Arthur A. Houghton, Jr. adheres to current copyright practices in both its borrowing and lending activities. The Library reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
