Look Up Course Reserves
A. What is 'Reserve Material'?
Professors place books, articles, and syllabi on reserve in the library to ensure that large numbers of students can use these items. These items are checked out for a limited amount of time. The items circulate for 2 hours, overnight, or 1 week. Reserve items checked out by the hour may not leave the library. A valid CCC ID is necessary to check out reserve materials at the Main Desk. Fines accrue at $1.00 per hour for 2 hour reserves and $1.00 per day for overnight and 1 week loans. Because of the high demand on these items, loan periods are shortened and fine rates are higher.
B. How do students find Reserve Material?
Reserve material is physically located at the Main Desk in the library. These materials are arranged by course number.
To view what material your instructor has placed on reserve, use the Course Reserves search box to the left.
If you do not know the author or title of the item, search by the course number. If you do not know the course number, you can find this information by consulting your Class Block Schedule.
